NATURAL GOAT CHEESES
This is Grandpa Pepe , founder of Campo Spain.
THERE ARE MANY RECIPES FOR MAKING GOOD CHEESE , BUT OUR STAR INGREDIENT IS THAT OUR GOATS ARE HAPPY AND THAT THE PROCESS IS NATURAL.
We are a small goat cheese farm. Our goats are the core of our business. For two main reasons: first, that thanks to their milk, we employ 8 people, and second, that this project was started by my father more than 50 years ago.
If there is one thing we are clear about, it is that our goat cheeses are the result of caring for goats as a very precious asset.
HONESTLY NATURAL, TRADITIONAL AND ARTISANAL.
At Campo Spain we are artisans by conviction, by principles, just like our grandparents, we make cheeses and dairy products with traditional recipes and processes. As grandmother Fulgencia would say: Craftsmanship and passion, there are no more ingredients to add.
We pay attention to every detail of the entire process, from the moment we milk our goats every day until the cheese reaches your table. And we know that by putting care, dedication and passion into what we do, we get a quality, unique, healthy and gourmet product.
We are what we eat and that is why we are committed to offering natural products for our family and yours.
We are so committed that we offer guided tours of the farm and cheese factory to show our work and our daily routine. This way, those who love the countryside and quality artisanal products can learn about and experience the passion with which we work and the love and respect with which we care for our animals.
OUR GOATS ARE HAPPY
Our goats are a fundamental pillar in our family and we treat them almost like queens so that they are happy and continue to give us their best milk:
- All of them are in enclosures that have capacity for three times as many goats, but we know that by leaving only half of them they have more space, less rivalry and therefore, they live more relaxed.
- They listen to music, and they like classical music the most. If you have ever been near a goat, you will know that they are extremely skittish and easily stressed. On windy or noisy days, they all enjoy music to mask any possible noises that may occur in the premises, and thus ensure that they are relaxed and without any surprises.
- All our goats eat wild animals. We are located in the Sierra de la Muela, Cabo Tiñoso and Roldan. A privileged environment 8 km from the Mediterranean Sea, where our goats graze every day eating albaidas (they love it), rosemary, thyme, etc.
- As our climate is warm, we accompany their diet with top-quality alfalfa, hay and cereals.
If our goats have the best, they will give us the best.
